Autoworks Motorsport Strengthens Its Presence in the Iberian Supercars

Seven years of partnership prove that the Autoworks Motorsport team is rock-solid. That’s how long Héctor Hernández and Borja Hormigos have been competing together, and this season they are reinforcing their efforts to achieve major goals in the Iberian Supercars Endurance championship behind the wheel of a BMW M4 GT4.

The duo began racing together in 2019 in the Mini Challenge, and now in their seventh season, they are bolstering their campaign with an expanded technical staff and a brand-new truck equipped with its own workshop for trackside support. They will compete at Algarve, Jarama, Valencia, Jerez, and Estoril. The aim is to win the GT4 Bronze category title in this endurance series.

“We have built a structure where maximum professionalism, competitive spirit, and an unmatched passion for motorsport form the foundation of everything we do,” said Héctor Hernández. Borja Hormigos added: “Looking back and seeing the progress we’ve made since the Mini Challenge in 2019 fills me with pride. We have grown step by step alongside EBC and ELF, and this year, with the new M4 and the strengthened technical team, we feel we have the most powerful project in our history to fight for the championship.”

Since their start in the Mini, the team’s evolution has been constant. Over successive years, they have piloted various BMW models: the M240i Racing, the M4 GT4 (F82), and now the latest M4 GT4 (G82).

The pair are determined to turn their experience and upgraded resources into a title challenge, aiming to bring home the bronze-level championship trophy.
