The 29th round of the Mir Russian Premier League 2025/2026 season featured a clash between Zenit and Sochi, held at the Gazprom Arena in Saint Petersburg. Referee Rafael Shafeev officiated the match, which ended with a 2:1 home victory.
Sochi took the lead in the 31st minute through forward Zakhar Fedorov, capitalizing on a defensive lapse. Earlier, Zenit’s Luis Henrique missed a penalty in the 13th minute. However, Henrique redeemed himself by equalizing in the 59th minute. The decisive moment came in the 84th minute when midfielder Alexander Erokhin scored the winning goal for the blue-white-blues.
After 29 matches, Zenit leads the table with 65 points, while Krasnodar sits second with 63 points but has a game in hand. Sochi languishes at the bottom in 16th place with only 21 points.
In the previous round, Sergei Semak’s team defeated CSKA 3-1, while Igor Osinkin’s side beat Orenburg by the same scoreline.
